2023 PG Brandon Rechsteiner had a huge spring and is continuing his upward trend to start the summer. After seeing his recruitment ramp up in April, he has put together great performances against some top teams so far in June and is hearing from even bigger schools now. He went off for 29 points with 7 made 3’s against Grayson at the Relentless Hoops Summer League on Wednesday and followed it up with a 16.8 PPG weekend with 17 made 3’s in 4 games at the GBCA Team Camp. I sat down with him today to discuss these topics and get a breakdown of where things stand with him currently.
It’s in the interview as well, but I always have a lot of respect for guys who improve consistently and mature throughout their high school careers. Rechsteiner has definitely done that and doesn’t seem to be slowing down. His combination of shooting, ball-handling, passing, and strength are just what coaches look for in their PG recruits. You can listen to the full interview below, followed by some highlights of Rechsteiner. He has received new offers from Kansas State, Northwestern, and Wichita State so far from this weekend at the GBCA Team Camp.
